Instagram has been a popular source lately for breaking fashion and beauty news, but this time it seems to be a mistake. Kristen Stewart – the current face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica fragrance – stars in the upcoming cowboy-themed ad campaign for Chanel. In one shot, her hair is braided into cornrows. Photos from the campaign, which debuts in May 2014, were possibly “leaked” on Instagram, and Fashionista reports that they have since been removed. (But – you can view them all larger, on Beauty Packaging’s Facebook page.) Or – perhaps the ‘leak’ was intentional, to give Chanel fans a sneak peek at the first photos from the campaign, which were shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself. Photos: Instagram User: garcon_chanel
